Analyze lines from O. Henry’s “After 20 Years” for importance towards plot, characterization, and literary development. 

 

Journal

 

Compare and contrast characters and manners of characterization (7th)

Importance of setting on the plot.

Compare and contrast the setting of “The Last Leaf” to that of “After 20 Years”.

 

(1 period.  Double for science.)

 

Writing Process.  Develop last week’s quote into an essay.

Math

Begin art in math project with PowerPoint of art that embodies math.

 

Fibonacci’s sequence.

Math Project:  7th does 100 base along with 5th and 64 in the second round.

Math Project:

7th & advanced=64, 5th completes and does another round of 100 base.

Measurement and graphing:  Transforming out thought and understandings into numbers.

Students share what was learned.  KWLS leads the class conversation.
