As an intervention activity this week, have your child sort magnetic letters.
Give your child a handful of magnetic letters. Ask him or her to sort the letters into two groups based on some characteristic. You might choose circles/no circles, straight lines/curved lines, or even consonants/vowels. You might start out by giving your child the two categories, but after a few tries, see if your child can come up with a way to sort. You might be surprised at what your child notices about letters!
