About the Teacher
Rita Moak received a bachelor of Science degree in secondary mathematics education from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana and a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Abilene Christian Uiversity in Abilene, Texas. At Abilene Christian, she ranked in the top ten per cent of her class and was invited to join Alphi Chi National Honor Society. Rita has been teaching mathematics at C. E. Byrd High School in the math/science magnet program for the past twenty years. She has taught Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Advanced Math, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. Rita has taught ACT and SAT Prep classes for the past 18 years and has been involved in private tutoring students for the past 24 years. In 2010, Rita was one of eight teachers in the state selected to participate in Louisiana Research Experiences for Teachers at LSU in Baton Rouge. Rita's reseach involved the effect of toxins on DNA in the Chemical Engineering Department . Rita has been a Test Prep Instructor for Kaplan at Centenary College and LSU in Shreveport, Louisiana. She has been in the private Test Prep industry for 17 years. Rita is a mathematics specialist in ACT, SAT, GRE, GMAT, and GEE standardized tests. In addition, Rita will soon be releasing an online Algebra Course which she designed for students who want to jump to the head of their class in algebra or for students who are struggling with mathematics in their high school classes. She will also be releasing a fully interactive online ACT prep through her company, OlympicE-Learning.
