I was born and raised in Roswell, New Mexico. I was very involved in school, both on an academic and athletic capacity. I had a number of honors for both. I was a member of two state championship volleyball teams. I also was recognized for achieving high academic standards. I earned a college volleyball and academic scholarship to Central Arizona College. It was a good transition. From there I went to Arizona State University and majored in Elementary Education. I then worked in Casa Grande for four years and then came to Willis Junior High. I have taught students on all levels of the spectrum at the junior high level. I have my Master's Degree from Northern Arizona University in Curriculum and Instruction. I am highly certified and highly qualified to teach Middle School Language Arts and Social Studies. This will be my 15th year teaching and it is truly my passion to help students find success.
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I like to read and watch sports - whether it is my son, a live-action game, or something on TV.
I believe it is important to challenge and support all students. It is my job to help students find their strengths to harness their potential so they can make goals. This in turn will make them strong citizens of our community. My goal is to give all students the foundation which gives them the tools to be successful in whatever path they choose. I look forward to an exciting journey ahead!
