My name is Robin Clinton. I have been a teacher in No. Providence since 1982. I have been teaching full time at Marieville School since 1986 in grade two. I have been married for 27 years, and we have two boys. Our oldest son is 25 and a recent graduate from URI in Computer Science/Cyber security. Our youngest son is 22 and also a graduate from URI. He is a Computer Science Programmer.
In our home we also have two cats (Shadow and Smokey) and a dog named Bella. Throughout the year I usually will referr to them for they are a big part of my world.
My goal for students has always been to help them to be the best that they can be. I believe that Reading is the fundamental part of learning. The more a child reads the better they will achieve in their other academic subjects. I always made sure this was instilled, as well, in my 2 sons.
Parents are a huge part of a child's success in school. When a parent is informed and also consistently reads with their child at home every night, checks their homework, helps to get them ready for the next day, their child's academics always improve. I promise, to the best of my ability, to always try and keep you informed and up-to-date about your child. That is why I have a daily sheet that will come home in reguards to your child's homework, spelling words, important happenings and behavior. All I ask is that it is signed and returned along with their Take-Home Folder.
