Hello. :) My name is Rochelle McIntyre and this is my second year teaching elementrary. WIth an AS in Early Childhood Education and a BS in Social Psycchology, I started out teaching preschool for 8 years. I then became a mom and had four beautiful children of my own. After a little break to take care of my children, I went back to school to get my CA teaching credential and Masters in Education. I am now teaching Kindergarten and I love what I do!!
I teach because I love working with children, and I enjoy making a lasting impression on each child's life. My heart jumps for joy when I see my students sound out their first word or write their first sentence. I am excited when I hear my students read for the first time! As a teacher, I am aware that my students come from all different backgrounds and experiences. My goal is not only to teach my students, but to also be a positive influence in each of their lives. When I hear a child say "thank you" for being that smiling face in the morning or when I get a goodbye smile at the end of the day, I know my job is special!. As the quote says, "To the world you may just be a teacher, but to your students you are a hero." I want to be my students' hero!
