I hope everyone had a wounderful summer vacation! My name is Miss Sellers, and I am going to be your child's seventh grade math teacher this year. This year I am teaching a total of three math classes, all seventh grade, on the voyagers team. This webpage is a way for me to inform you, the parent, and your child about classroom information. I will update this webpage daily. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I am looking forward to having a great year with you and your child!
Your homework for tonight is to complete questions 1-20 on page 15 out of your textbook. Homework is due daily. If you are having trouble with fractions or just looking for some fun math review, check out the following websites!!!
For your informational purposes I wanted to let you know about some things we will be doing this year. Every week I will give a quiz. My quizzes will be on Fridays, and will cover everything we learn throughout the week. I will give one test for each chapter we cover in the textbook. There is a total of twelve chapters. I will announce the test date one week in advance. I will distribute a study guide for each test. I will assign one project every six weeks. Your child will be given instructions and a rubric for the assigned project three weeks before the due date. This year we will be taking a team field trip to the Discovery Place. This field trip will be taking place in November, so be on the look out for permission slips in October. If any parents are interested in helping chaperone this field trip let me know!
In Class Assignments 10%
If your child is absent they will be expected to make up any missed assignments. If your child fails to turn in any work, I will accept late work. However, there will be 30 points deducted from the earned grade each day the work is late.
Once again, I am looking forward to having a wounderful school year with you and your child!
