General Information:
Your child will bring home graded papers on Monday, June 4th. It would be beneficial for you to go through your child's work with him/her. Compliment good work and discuss concepts that need to be strengthened. Also, review your child's writing with him/her to make suggestions for improvement

Our P.E. days  are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We are working on several units in P.E.  If your child is ill or injured and cannot participate in P.E., I  will need a note stating the reason. Also, when your child is excused from P.E., he/she may not play at recess or lunch. Please make sure  your child wears appropriate shoes (no slip-ons, sandals, or boots) and attire.

Students will be picked up from the back kindergarten gate. Please display the white placard you were given at Back-to-School Night.  Drive around the circle - one teacher with a walkie-talkie will call your child's name. Another teacher will send your child to a designated spot on the sidewalk.  Please do not park your car and walk across the parking lot to get your  child. This is very dangerous (we had several near-misses last year).  It also makes the process take longer. If you do not want to drive through the circle, you may park outside the school and wait by the entrance near the crossing guard. Or,  your child may walk across the bridge. If so, I will send your child to the playground at dismissal.

School starts at 8:15 A.M.  The line-up bell rings at 8:10 A.M.  I pick-up the students around 8:12 A.M. and am in the classroom by 8:15 A.M.   If your child enters the classroom late, I will mark him/her tardy.  Your child must get a "tardy slip" from the  office if he/she  is late. If he/she doesn't have one, I will send him/her down to the office to get one. Your child will lose valuable class time, as we start morning review right away. Thank you for your cooperation.

When your child is ill, please email or phone the office before recess (10:10 A.M.).  This will allow me time to prepare a  work packet. Please try to schedule your vacations during the school vacation periods. A work packet cannot replace valuable direct instruction. Students really do miss out when they are frequently absent or gone for extended periods.
