Offers activities to address the physical, mental, and social challenges their riders face.  The

riders have disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Stroke, Autism,

Amputations, Spina Bifida, Spinal Cord injuries, Multiple Sclerosis and a range of emotional,

learning, and developmental disabilities.

Programs for this summer include: aquatics, golf and bowling.

                     C’MON’s Breaking the Barriers program is designed to provide families with children with   

                     disabilities extra time to get used to the Museum, learn how to use the exhibits, learn how   

                     to  transition through the spaces, meet staff and volunteers, participate in regular museum

                     programs and more, in a safe and welcoming environment. Breaking the Barriers programs

                     have  limited participation and registration is required to make sure each family receives the

                     specialized care they need to ensure success for their children.  The Breaking the Barriers

                     program is generally the second Saturday of the month, with the first program on May 12th. 

                     The cost for this program is $10 per person over the age of one and free for members.

                     C’mon’s Sensory Nights are designed for children on the autism spectrum or with other    

                     sensory  integration disorders who would not be able to attend the Museum at regular             


                    times. Lighting and sound are muted and additional sensory activities and cool down spaces  

                    are provided.  Sensory Nights have limited participation in order to minimize crowds and

                    registration is required.  Sensory Nights are generally the fourth Tuesday of the month, with

                    the first program May 22nd. The cost for this program is $10 per person over the age of one

                    and free for members.

                      Freedom Waters Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides boating         

                      opportunities and marine related activities for people with disabilities, youth at risk and

                      others with special needs. "Making it Happen!"

                    This summer boat outings will be offered free of charge.
