About Me

Dear Curious Reader,

My name is Thomas Broxterman. I am currently math teacher at Royal Valley High School in Hoyt, KS. I was born and raised in Hoyt, KS. I graduated Co-Valedictorian from Royal Valley High School in 2013. I continued my education and track career at Allen Community College where I earned an Associate of Arts in Education. While at Allen CC I was a two-time Academic All-American. I competed as a middle distance runner in the 800 and 1500 along with the Distance Medley Relay and 4x800 Relay. I also earned All-American in the Indoor Distance Medley Relay, Indoor 4x800 relay (twice), and the Outdoor 4x800 relay. Academically, my sophomore year I also served in a leadership role for Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society as the President. From there, I was selected as a Noyce Teacher Leader Scholar by Fort Hays State University where I went on to finish my Bachelors of Arts in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics at Fort Hays State University. While attending Fort Hays I served in leadership roles as President of STEM-Ed, Tiger Place Hall Council, and Tau Sigma Honor Society. I was also an active member of the Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC), FHSU Transfer Network, Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, Catholic Disciples, and the FHSU Cross Country & Track teams.
