LETTER TO STUDENTS

Welcome Students!

My name is Kathy O’Neal.  I have been teaching Business and Computer Science at Toombs County High School for 21 years.  I am from Lyons and I have lived here all my life.  I have been married to my wonderful husband for 24 years and I have two amazing children.  My son graduated from Toombs County High School and now attends college.  My daughter is a junior this year and the South Area Vice President for the State Chapter of FBLA.  I love to travel and have just returned from a trip to Yellowstone National Park.  My pets include many cats, a dog, and a horse.  I love to read, listen to music, and watch movies.

I am excited about the start of a new year.   I will be teaching Business Document Processing and Business Data Applications/Multimedia, the second and third level computer classes offered in the Business Department.  Of all the classes I have taught, these two classes are the ones where I can see the most results of all the planning and training I do to prepare for teaching my students.  By the end of the year you will know that you have learned a lot if you work with me.

In addition to teaching, I am the FBLA Adviser.  FBLA is a co-curricular business student organization that offers so many opportunities to its members.  As you will learn, I love this organization and I will want all my students to take advantage of being a member of FBLA.  This year will be one of the most exciting one yet with a State Officer in our chapter, many planned activities, and plans to attend two national conferences—one in Washington, DC, and one in Anaheim,  California.   Anyone who wants to be a part of FBLA can get with me and we will make things happen.

Again, welcome to my classroom.  I look forward to working with you this year!

Mrs. Kathy O’Neal
