It’s the last week of Second Grade for your child!

I hope your child enjoyed “Camping in the Classroom.”  We had fun making crafts, eating special snacks, reading camp stories, and practicing math and science.  Today we will make our last science project and invite the first graders to help us.  It has become somewhat of a tradition to share this activity so I can’t wait!

Wednesday is our Awards Chapel for the upper graders.  The only award the primary grades are given is the Attendance Award.  We have already received our Reading Awards and Six Flags Certificates.

In the afternoon we will be signing Yearbooks after lunch.  You may purchase a yearbook in the office if you forgot—there may still be some left.  That evening at 6:30 PM is Graduation for our Eighth Graders and Promotion for our Sixth Grade.

Thursday morning is Kindergarten Promotion with Early Dismissal at 11:30.  The parking lot will be PACKED.  You may park north of the preschool and walk through the gate.  Please allow time to get to the classroom because I must dismiss students to their adults from the classroom—they will not be in the usual dismissal area because we need the blacktop for parking.  Please drive carefully because it’s Water Day, and kids get excited and forget to be careful.

Bring chairs, shade, sunscreen, towels, squirt guns, and sunglasses!  Shoes will be needed because of bees and stickers.  Food will be provided by the Boosters.  See you there!
