    Dear Parents and Students:

My mission as a Science Teacher is to develop a positive attitude within the hearts and minds of the students in my classes at IS 61 by using science as a vehicle for their success.   By challenging the students to creatively solve problems, to be responsible for their own development of laboratory skills, and by my creating an environment conducive to successful learning, the students will develop the skills and tools necessary for successful living. By integrating science, as much as possible, with art, reading, history and math, the students will begin to understand the value and importance that science plays in their daily lives.
