January 9 - We are starting Physics. Students will begin labs next week. Study your notes regularly to make sure you are understanding the foundation.
November 13th - We will be testing Thursday (B day) and Friday (A day) this week. That way we can return from Thanksgiving break ready to start a new unit. October 25 - October 31 - We are starting to on Chemical Compounds and Naming. They will need this visual to complete a few assignments. It is also part of the most recent PowerPoint.
October 9 - October 13 - this is the last week of the first 9 weeks. Students should be working on science fair - non-competition is due October 23rd. We will begin bonding this week and it is vital student are familiar with the vocabulary and concepts. Each week builds upon the week before.
September 5 - September 8 - Students will work on a new program this week - Penda - The following explains how to access the program:

We will also take a quick assessment on Astronomy and Lab skills. It is only 15 questions and we will complete the assessment on the computer. B day will test on Thursday 9/7 and A day will test Friday 9/8. Please study your notes.
August 28 - September 1: We are FINALLY done baseline testing. We will begin Stars this week and then to planets. The PowerPoint for stars has already been uploaded if students want to print it, however, it is not necessary. Science Fair information will go home this week. Everything can be found under the Science Fair tabs if extra copies are needed.
August 21 - 25: We will finish up baseline testing this week. Students need to have their SIGNED LAB SAFETY AGREEMENT turned in this week because we will be completing two small hands-on explorations. Tuesday, August 22 is Open House and I hope to see you there. The PowerPoint on Earth-Moon-Sun System needs to be printed out for class next week. I am only asking it to be printed to make up the time we lost to testing.
August 14 - August 18th Welcome to an awesome year! We will begin with nature of science and then move to Astronomy. I am super excited that we will be able to view a Solar Eclipse at 90% coverage together. By clicking on this link - Solar Eclipse Information - you will be connected to a wonderful website about the SOLAR ECLIPSE that will occur August 21st from around 2:00 p.m. until around 2:48 p.m. I do have solar glasses for all of my students.
