Dear Parents,

My name is Terry Jones and I will be your child’s case manager for the 2012-2013 school year. This is my fifth year as an employee of DeKalb County with this being my first year at Tucker High School. The previous four years, I was employed at Tucker Middle School as a paraprofessional for a year and three years as an interrelated teacher in math.

I am originally from Alabama and a graduate from The University of Alabama. I completed my master’s in Secondary education from Grand Canyon University in May and I am beginning the journey toward completing my doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Walden in September. During the fall, I am assistant football coach at Tucker High School and I am entering my sixth year as a member of the football coaching staff.

I will be in contact with you in the upcoming weeks and months to discuss your child’s progress through the school and to schedule their annual review or reevaluation meetings of your child’s IEP. This is a very important year in their academic journey so I want to start the year off as strong as possible. I really look forward to hearing from all of you and I am excited about the potential of your child during this academic year. Included is a parent contact information form, I would like for you to fill out so I will have current contact information and the best time to contact you. Please return the attached form as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please feel free to visit my website at or email me at  You can also call the front office at 678-874-3702 to request a meeting or leave a phone message.

Thank you in advance,

Terry W. Jones Jr.
