About Miss Snowden

Hello friends!

My name is Tara Snowden and I am in my first year teaching at Olympia North Elementary in Danvers, IL. I recently graduated from Illinois State University in May of 2009 with my degree in Elementary Education. I also have endorsements to teach Spanish, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies in the middle school.

I love spending time with my family and friends. I am crazy and love the Fall and Winter months, especially when it snows!

I'm sure my students would describe me as crazy in different ways, especially when I break out in song or dance. I bet they would be quick to admit that school would be pretty boring without the fun and laughter that our classroom brings though. I feel that by creating an environment of learning through laughter and fun, students will be more likely to value learning and become lifelong learners.

I am extremely passionate about teaching and inspiring children to achieve their highest potential.

Please contact me with any questions or concerns!

"A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove...but that the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child."
